Elsie is one of the characters who really gets underserved in favour of plot, not really being fleshed out before her big moment, which is being grabbed in the dark.

It comes when she's on to something about the hosts, and there's a lot of mystery about what happened to her - something the show doesn't concern itself with too much, unfortunately for Elsie.
