What If...? - 25 Biggest WTF Moments

The world has been a crazy place throughout 2020 and 2021, and the worldwide pandemic that affected everyone also affected the movie and TV industry. Release dates were pushed back, entire slates reshuffled, and in the case of What If…?, there was an entire episode lost.

Initially, the first season of What If…? was supposed to be ten episodes long, but thanks to Covid-19, one episode has been forced into season two. After episode nine dropped on Disney+, it seems obvious that this episode would have detailed the story surrounding Gamora and Tony Stark.

The two had clearly escaped from Sakaar, Gamora with the Infinity Stones, and made it to Eitri on Nidavellir to forge an Infinity Gauntlet. This sounds like an incredible story that fans would be well within their rights to feel robbed of.

Tony’s armour looked incredible, Gamora had killed her father, and without the preceding story, this moment, and obscure pairing seemed to come from out of nowhere. It may well be told within season two, but having already seen how it ends, it will surely have far less of an impact overall.
