A new docuseries named WWE Icons will hit the WWE Network sometime in 2021.

This was announced after last night's WWE Survivor Series 2021, with the promotion unveiling the first official trailer. It looks like the series is set to feature biographies of a number of important figures in WWE history, with Yokozuna, Lex Luger, Beth Phoenix, Rob Van Dam, and the British Bulldog all highlighted in the trailer.

A more specific release date than "2021" hasn't been revealed.

Bulldog was supposed to headline this year's WWE Hall of Fame class, though this was put on ice when the ceremony was cancelled at the onset of the global health crisis. There is currently no word on when this could be rescheduled for.

Yokozuna was inducted as part of the class of 2012 and Beth Phoenix went in five years later. Luger is one of the biggest names not currently active in the wrestling business who is yet to be inducted into the HOF, though his dicey relationship with WWE and Vince McMahon diminishes his chances. RVD, a former WWE Champion, will likely get there someday.
