5. Songs From Adverts Week
This series we've already had Songs From The Movies where the judges try their best to pass their contestants' song choices off as being from the soundtrack to an obscure film somewhere along the line. this reached a notbale nadir when Simon Cowell had to reassure everyone that Roy Orbison's Crying was best known from the film Gummo, a movie seen by roughly 11 people. Songs From Adverts follows a similar idea, but with popular jingles that we've all come to know and love. Abi Alton can wow everyone with a sultry rendition of 'only the crumbliest, flakiest chocolate', and there won't be a dry eye in the house during Nicholas McDonald's take on the old favourite 'I feel like Chicken Tonight.' And who wouldn't love a group performance of the modern classic, the Go Compare jingle? Plus it would stir up some product placement-related controversy, and no series of The X Factor would be complete without an OFCOM scandal. It's just a pity this one would be related to a live performance of the jaunty Milky Bar Kid song, rather than an actual voting irregularity.
