X-Men '97: 10 New Villains We Want To See
7. Danger
To test the X-Men, Charles Xavier has the team train in the Danger Room – a facility equipped with traps, projectile firing weapons, and a few flamethrowers for good measure. As the X-Men faced bigger and greater threats, Xavier upgraded the Danger Room with alien technology so it constantly adapted its strategies.
But when the Danger Room gained sentience, it became deeply confused and disoriented. Xavier was aware of this new development but chose not to deactivate it, believing the Danger Room needed to be as advanced as possible to test his students.
Over time, the Danger Room grew angry, and escaped by creating a humanoid form called Danger. Since she was programmed to fight the X-Men, Danger believed it was her destiny to destroy the team which Xavier created.
Danger is the perfect foe to introduce into the show because she did something no one else had done up until that point - she made the X-Men lose trust in their mentor. When they learned Xavier had ignored Danger's cries for help, they said he was starting to act like Magneto. By including the nefarious android, we can see a dark side of Xavier we rarely saw in the original series.
