X-Men '97: 10 New Villains We Want To See

8. Arcade

Arcade is a bow-tie wearing hitman who's routinely hired by secret organisations to eliminate troublesome superheroes.

Instead of just shooting his victims' brains out, Arcade places them in Murderworld – an amusement park filled with lethal rides, explosives, killer robots, and death traps. To boost his profile and highlight his efficiency, Arcade broadcasts his creative murder sprees online for the whole world to see.

Arcade is such a wacky character, it’s genuinely baffling he never appeared in the X-Men series. (I mean, the studio made Mojo a recurring foe but thought Arcade was too over-the-top?)

Even though Arcade was once regarded as a campy B-villain, the character resonates with the modern world more than ever. Thanks to social media, society understands the lure of people uploading dangerous or flat-out illegal activities online, purely to get clicks and likes. If Arcade actually existed, it's not too hard to believe people would watch his "show" just to see who gets offed next.

Arcade may have been a goofy character in the old days, but it feels like he would fit right into the X-Men revival.
