4. Mr. Mooney Tried To Kill Candace
If Joe didn’t try and kill Candace, then maybe Mr. Mooney did. After Candace cheated on Joe, he turned to Mooney to help him get through the heartbreak.
After seeing how hurt Joe was over Candace, another theory suggests that it was Mooney that tried to kill her. As mentioned previously, he did tell Joe that “some people deserve to die” and he probably thought she should join Elijah for the pain they caused Joe.
This also serves as another reason for why Joe might’ve caused Mooney’s stroke. As hurt as he was over Candace, he could’ve found out what Mooney did and tried to kill him.
It would also explain why Joe was surprised to see her; not because he killed her, but because he thought Mooney did.
