YOU Season 2: What Does The Ending Really Mean?
5. Delilah Is Dead And Ellie Is On The Run
They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and that certainly appears to be the case with Joe Goldberg's subplot. Much as he did in Season 1, the sadistic serial killer attempted to prove to us all (and himself) that he wasn't all bad by highlighting that he is capable of caring for people - this time by sorting out the Henderson problem for Delilah and Ellie Alves.
But it all came crashing down as his accidental killing of the celebrity comedian Henderson resulted in an investigation that eventually found Delilah figuring out that he was the person responsible for doing it. An unfortunate series of events, this resulted in Love killing her to protect Joe (against his own wishes) and her younger sister Ellie getting caught up in the investigation into Henderson's murder.
In the end, Joe admitted to Ellie that the Quinns had something to do with Delilah's murder and helped her evade the law by telling her to start her life fresh. Though she hates him for bringing the Quinns into her life, fans will undoubtedly be left wondering if Ellie will accept his help and disappear or if she'll show up again in Season 3.
