You Season 3: 12 Questions That Must Be Answered
10. Can The Quinn Parents Really Cover Up Any Crime?
The second season presented the Quinn siblings with an interesting relationship dynamic, but it didn't prepare us for the emotionally abusive "Golden Parachute" that is Love and Forty's parents.
When we are first introduced to Mr and Mrs Quinn, it is clear their parenting techniques aren't the most healthy and nurturing. Much like the acquaintances of Beck, the toxicity of power and control over those around them casts a lingering threat to Joes romantic aspirations.
At the end of season two, the actions of Joe and Love are swept under the rug with the help of the Quinn parents’ influence and money. And while this is convenient for plot, the suspicious cop David Fincher remains a potential thorn in Joe’s side and despite every other cop in LA being bought off, we’re guessing he wouldn’t let Delilah’s disappearance go unchallenged for long.
Joe's warning to Ellie (more on her later) not to cross the Quinn’s is sure to backfire in some way but to what extent? The Quinn Parents are sure to return for the third season, and if their past influence in covering up Love’s crimes are to be believed, they could also be Joe's undoing.
