1. Can The Show Maintain Its Entertainingly Bonkers Energy?
You has never shied away from embracing absurdity, and this has helped it become one of Netflix's strongest guilty pleasures and be part of pop culture discourse over its three year run. This absurdity is anchored by a strong cast, amusing dialogue and unsubtle but appreciated commentary on upper middle-class American millennials.
However, can the show run on this indefinitely? A fourth season is definitely a welcome addition to the You canon (it is the whole point of this article after all) but at what point will the twists and thrills become predictable, stale or too unbelievable?
To its credit, the show has been able to reinvent itself even as it centers on a rather flat protagonist so it stands to reason that the fourth season will continue the momentum built over three years. The hope is that the show does not resort to shock value in favour of careful plotting and risk jumping the shark and undoing years worth of goodwill.
