Young Justice: Outsiders – 8 Ups & 1 Down From Episodes 4-6

The third episode, 'Rescue Op', saw Brion defy Nightwing's orders, taking Halo and Forager to Infinity Island in an attempt to retrieve his sister the League of Shadows. When everything went south, Ra's Al Ghul surprisingly let them all go peacefully. However, there was more to this encounter than met the eye, as the writers dropped not one, but two major bombshells.

Stepping out of the shadows, Talia Al Ghul appeared, clutching a baby in her arms. Now, considering Ra's just had a conversation with Nightwing about his master, the "Detective", not to mention Batman's comic book history with Talia, it's more than likely that the child is a young Damien Wayne - the son of the Dark Knight (and a future Robin).

If that wasn't huge enough, one of the masked ninjas then uttered "Grayson", at which point Ra's was pleased that his henchman's memory was returning. Although this red-hooded ninja's identity remained undetermined, there is a strong possibility that it could be Jason Todd - the second Robin, who was killed by The Joker in the comics.

Jason's death was already confirmed in Young Justice's previous season via a hologram that was placed in the Watchtower to honour the fallen Boy Wonder. But could Ra's have used the healing purposes of the Lazarus Pit to resurrect him?

The allusions to Damien and Jason were a touch of genius and the perfect way to bring an end to yet another outstanding selection of episodes for the returning show.
