Young Sheldon: 10 Big Bang Theory Inconsistencies
6. Sheldon’s Early Love Of Comic Books
Outside of his passion for science, one of Sheldon’s defining interests is his love of comic books. He’s regularly seen rifling through the stacks at the local comic book store and wearing a superhero t-shirt. It’s also one of his more relatable traits. Most of us will never be genius level theoretical physicists but many people enjoy a good comic book. Also, as it does for many people, that passion for Marvel and DC began at a young age.
In The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon talks about having owned a Justice League of America membership card since he was five. At six he was tricked into thinking that Batman would attend his birthday party. This junior DC devotee was no slouch when it comes to comics fandom.
However, when we meet nine year old Sheldon in the prequel series he has no interest in comics, Marvel, DC or otherwise. It’s only when his friend Tam encourages him to check out an issue of X-Men that he develops his interest in the medium.
