UFC Fight Night: Cerrone Vs. Gaethje Predictions

5. Michel Pereira Vs. Tristan Connelly

Welterweight wild man, Michel Pereira, was originally set to face fellow knockout artist, Sergey Khandozkho, at this event. However, visa issues for Khandozkho meant that hometown hero, Tristan Connelly, has stepped up on short notice. Although this has the chance to be an incredible moment for him and his career, it's more likely to be a rude awakening for Connelly.

Pereira might have a chaotic fight style that makes him hard to predict, but he's so reckless that, at some point, someone is going to knock him out or put him on his back when he's doing these insane flips and jumps off the cage. We've seen it a numbers of times, where a fighter has success competing recklessly and uses it as their default style, until someone more calculated takes advantage and shuts their game down.

Against far more dangerous opposition, Pereira might have a lot to worry about. However, he won't have that problem against Connelly. The 33-year old Canadian might be able to get close and land a few blows, but it's only a matter of time before he becomes another clip on Pereira's increasingly impressive highlight reel.
