10 MORE Times Doctor Who Appeared In Other TV Shows

1. Family Guy

Our previous list on this topic also featured Seth MacFarlane's animated ode to vulgarity, but don't worry, this entry isn't a re-run of the last one.

What we didn't mention last time was that Doctor Who made quite a prominent appearance during a special episode of Family Guy from 2007, one that, weirdly, parodied another long-running sci-fi franchise.

Blue Harvest not only served as Family Guy's Season 6 premiere, but also the first in the "Laugh It Up, Fuzzball" trilogy, a re-telling of the original three Star Wars films featuring Chris as Luke Skywalker, Peter as Han Solo, and Meg as... oh, she wasn't really in it.

Poor Meg.

During a sequence where the Millennium Falcon jumps to lightspeed, Peter/Han remarks how "freaky" travelling at hyperspeed looks. Cut to his view of the window, and up pops the classic Doctor Who intro sequence, complete with the old version of the theme.

Seeing a giant image of Tom Baker's face hardly made for a subtle reference, but it was an appreciated (and very, very unexpected) one all the same.
