1 Up & 5 Downs From AEW Battle Of The Belts VI

4. Nowhere Near Big Enough

The Lucha Bros

QT Marshall and Powerhouse Hobbs getting a crack at the ROH Tag-Team Titles was questionable enough, but then Tony Khan decided that match vs. The Lucha Bros should headline his latest Battle Of The Belts card. It was the best bout on the show, sure, but that isn't really saying much.

You can probably tell that this fan is so down on some of TK's decision-making these days. His BOTB specials should be way better - an average tag showing being the best thing about your broadcast isn't exactly great. Lucha Bros are awesome, but they were up against it here due to poor, thrown-together challengers.

Meh all-round.

There was never any chance of QT and Powerhouse taking the titles here. That was true even when Aaron Solo leapt onto Marshall's feet (which were on the ropes) to help give him leverage for a long near fall. Fans didn't buy into the threat to Rey Fenix and Penta.
