1 Up & 5 Downs From AEW Battle Of The Belts VI

3. This Made The “Special”?

Jade Cargill Billie Starkz

Speaking of title matches with no real threat.

Tony, mate - what are you doing? A routine TBS Title win for Jade Cargill vs. Billie Starkz was not worthy of a spot on Battle Of The Belts VI. Come on now. This was a ridiculous waste of TV time, and wouldn't have even been good enough had it aired on Rampage instead.

In fairness, Billie did everything she could to turn some heads, but she was never a credible threat to Jade or her belt. It isn't her fault that Khan thought this deserved to be on the show without any rhyme or reason though. The match only existed so Cargill could go 55-0.

Starkz vanished right after the bell, then Taya Valkyrie tried to hit Jade with her Road To Valhalla (Jaded) finisher before the champ escaped. That's three BOTB specials in a row that Cargill has been tasked with working so-so title matches just to bolster her win/loss record.
