1 Up & 6 Downs From AEW Rampage (Sept 30)

Downs...

6. Hmm

Lee Moriarty AEW
AEW

Lee Moriarty isn't the kind of worker who should be in 90-second squashes. This guy is still questioning his heel turn and AEW's decision to plonk him in the midst of The Firm rather than the Blackpool Combat Club, to be honest, but that'd be excusable if they were doing right by him.

The company isn't.

Moriarty is very technical and flashy between the ropes - he's not especially powerful or dominant, so it was a bit weird to see him run through some rudimentary spots before pinning Fuego Del Sol. Couldn't these lads have had a tidy five-seven minute match instead? Yeah, they could've had All Elite shaved some other segments off the show.

Also, remember when Fuego was treated like a big deal on Rampage? He's the bargain bin opponent on this roster now, and it's a total waste of good talent. That could go for the match generally. Surely AEW won't try something like this again.
