Sam Gradwell has been surprisingly enjoyable throughout this entire Trent Seven story arc. He’s rarely been able to have a genuine stand out moment, despite being with NXT UK from the announcement of the inaugural United Kingdom Championship Tournament. That said, this was dire.

‘The Thunderstorm’ confronted Trent Seven as he was consoling Jack Starz at the UK Performance Center; a minor Down for this alone. Gradwell reiterated that he too is a founding father of NXT UK, before mocking Seven for playing the overbearing father act, always getting himself involved in everyone else’s business.

Although he made some fair points, this was entirely weak stuff. Having a go at your rival for offering support is never going to hit the right spot. There simply isn’t enough fire in such a story. Seven’s single slap to Gradwell did absolutely nothing to help proceedings.

A Johnny Moss appearance to help separate the two popped your writer, anyway.
