As aforementioned, Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo vs. LA Knight and Jimmy Uso didn't seem must see going in when Aldis announced it earlier in the night. In execution, it was another fairly nondescript bout for a totally forgettable episode of SmackDown. You've actually got to feel sorry for folks who paid premium ticket prices to attend this one. They weren’t given a lively show at all.

At times, SmackDown was akin to a standard pre-taped effort, and that’s not meant as a compliment.

Yes, we've all seen enough of Knight warring with Solo and pals to last a lifetime. The only thing worth mentioning is the aftermath: Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed attacked Knight to leave him laying, but even that’s a retread for the story Knight has going on with Seth Rollins too. The total lack of Rollins sucked when he's LA's opponent at Saturday Night's Main Event too.

So, to summarise, this tag match wasn't the worst thing on the broadcast by any means, but it can't be considered must-watch fare either. There was a sense that all 4 guys involved in the match were simply killing time out there. Mateo's lack of aura was completely exposed when he was jousting with the much more over Knight as well.

Jimmy rolling up Solo for the win heading into their United States Title showdown at SNME was logical, but it'd be difficult to recommend this one generally. It wasn't a patch on the fab Andrade and Rey Fenix vs. Fraxiom smash hit from last week's episode, put it that way.
