4. Wyatts Win Slow Tag Title Match

The Street Profits have now lost the tag straps to Wyatt Sicks members Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis. You'd think a title change would spark some interest and lean towards the 'Ups' section, but something must be said: Uncle Howdy and pals have totally wrecked the momentum others were building for the SmackDown tag ranks. It's a bit crap to say, but they have.

85% of this bout was painfully slow heat stuff from Gacy and Lumis that sucked the life out of the live crowd in Nashville. The entire story framing this (other duos rallying against The Wyatts) has been pretty boring. Now, arguably the most unexciting team in the division are on top of it. The only hope here is that Andrade and Rey Fenix pull a banger out of The Sicks. Maybe Fraxiom too.

It's always confusing when promoters plump for the least-enticing option in the title hot seat(s). That's what Gacy and Lumis are, unfortunately. They're a basic unit who lack the flash of others in the division, and now we're in for endless matches with others chasing them whilst struggling to see eye to eye.

How did we get here when the SmackDown doubles had been a true highlight for ages?!

The initial pop that erupted for a title change fizzled out fast too. Nashville appreciated seeing some gold change hands in their town, but then everyone quickly realised what had happened. The Profits deserved better. This might be the worst match they've worked since becoming champs again on a red hot night in Barcelona this past March.
