10 "Shocking" WWE Moments Ruined By The Internet
5. Brock Lesnar's Return
Thanks to online reports confirming that Brock Lesnar was back on speaking terms with Vince McMahon, there wasn't a single fan in the American Airlines Arena for the post-WrestleMania XXVIII episode of Raw who didn't know that he was going to turn up.
To be fair, it's not as though this completely killed the moment. Having been on a WWE sabbatical that lasted eight long years, the former Next Big Thing getting back in the squared circle was right up there with Daniel Bryan winning the world title on the list of things we couldn't wait to see.
It just wasn't shocking, that's all. Even if you had managed to avoid personally reading about Lesnar rejoining the company, chances are somebody else would have told you as you sat down to watch the show (and, even if they didn't, you couldn't fail to notice the chants coming from the crowd).
In any case, it's highly probable that WWE deliberately leaked the fact that the former UFC star would be in Miami as a means of bringing in some extra viewers at the last minute. And, quite honestly, you can't really fault that - this was their biggest acquisition in years.
