10 Abandoned Wrestling Gimmicks That Would Have Been Awesome

5. Mr. Kenney As Vince McMahon's Illegitimate Son

Mr. Kennedy will forever remain one of the biggest 'What Ifs' in the history of WWE.

There was so damn much potential in that character, and in Ken Anderson's abilities on the mic and in the ring, that you can't help but wonder where he might be if he was still with the company.

Though one other 'What If' involving Mr. Kennedy has a much more predictable outcome.

Back in 2007, during the ill-fated "death" of Mr. McMahon, plans were put in place to proceed with a whodunnit, which ultimately implicated his wife, Linda, as the murderer, and put the ownership of the WWE in the hands of his illegitimate son, Mr. Kennedy.

In this version of the gimmick, Mr. Kennedy would have been naturally elevated to a top heel spot in the company, since he could now basically grant himself title shots on a whim and mess with everyone in his own specific, off-color way.

Plans were to get him involved in a feud with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, win the WWE Championship, and then reintroduce his not-dead father, Vince, back into the fold, revealing it had all been faked.

Some of the specifics may be a bit shaky, but there's no doubt this would have been ten thousand times better than the version of the gimmick/storyline we actually got with Hornswoggle.
