10 Absolute Worst Matches In WWE Survivor Series History

9. Paige Vs. Charlotte (2015)

This match should have been awesome.

A Divas Championship bout pitting a popular Women's Revolution forebearer against one of the movement's new leaders, it had all the potential in the world, and the programme should have yielded a bout on par with those going on in NXT. Unfortunately, WWE's tasteless, heartless decision to exploit the death of Charlotte's brother, Reid Flair, derailed it before we even got to the pay-per-view, leading to a Survivor Series title fight with next to no crowd heat.

The clear discomfort shown by both performers in the aforementioned Reid segment filtered through. Rather than working the wild, out-of-control brawl we'd been conditioned to expect, Paige and Charlotte worked a slower, more methodical clash with tests of strength and casual grappling exchanges. It was the wrong layout, and the live audience were already zoning out within the first few minutes.

A few polite golf claps were all the duo received for their troubles, within even a late-match spear off the barricade failing to stir the masses from their slumber. The silence was earned: this was a bitterly disappointing clash, and its 14-minute runtime felt like thrice that.
