10 Absolute Worst Matches In WWE Survivor Series History

8. Truth Commission Vs. Disciples Of Apocalypse (1997)

It's understandable that Survivor Series 1997 is only ever remembered as 'the night the Montreal Screwjob happened.' Said incident remains the most infamous and transformative in wrestling history, and, as the catalyst for WWE's most successful period (in terms of both business and creative), a story that'll still be told for decades to come.

F*ckery aside, Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels was also the only match on the show of any real quality, with a lengthy series of blasé elimination matches, a lacklustre Kane vs. Mankind singles collision, and a four-minuter pitting Steve Austin against Owen Hart failing to hit the mark. This was the biggest offender, and one of the worst team-based clashes in the event's history.

An abundance of terrible stables appeared during WWE's 'Gang Warfare' phase, with The Truth Commission and Disciples of Apocalypse among the worst. More glacial than pedestrian, their showdown was hot garbage, with a series of blind referee botches, plodding offence, and a complete lack of anything resembling athleticism rendering it the worst kind of slog.

A simple crossbody was the most exciting move these plodders could muster, and that happened within the first few minutes.
