10 Absolutely Epic "I'm Him" Wrestling Moments You Need To See
Those times wrestlers were most certainly "him".
It's hard to fully describe those situations when someone effortlessly radiates seemingly limitless levels of cool, charm, and confidence inside of the wrestling world.
Or at least it had been until some individuals took one look at said epic displays from certain talented folks within the industry and claimed that these could only be classified as undeniable "I'm Him" moments.
Take the night of June 5, 2022, for example.
After it was heavily reported that Cody Rhodes had torn his t*tty in the build-up to his incoming Hell in a Cell showdown with Seth Rollins, 'The American Nightmare' refused to back away from the fight. Instead, a glorious "I'm Him" moment/match was born as the one-time AEW man slowly peeled back his jacket to reveal the damage before proceeding to wrestle a five-star bout against 'The Visionary'.
They were both "Him" that night.
There have been a ton of other times when "I'm Him" lightning was perfectly captured in a wrasslin' bottle over the years, though.
So, from ridiculously zen reactions post-impressive victories, to those entrances that reminded you what an absolute megastar actually looked like, these are just a few of the times wrestlers puffed up their chests and boldly declared precisely who they were.
10. The Rock Slides His Way Through A People's Elbow (WWE SmackDown, 1999)
While 'The Great One' typically exuded "I'm Him" energy on just about every night he strutted down the WWE ramp, easily one of the smoothest moments of his entire career went down on September 30, 1999's edition of SmackDown.
As Triple H and The British Bulldog's WWE Championship match reached its bizarre climax, The Rock soon decided he'd seen enough and went about whooping the candy asses of both men. Then, after smacking both stars in the face with the title, 'The People's Champion' launched his sunglasses into the crowd and let loose a People's Elbow unlike any fans had seen before... or since.
It was later noted by the Hollywood megastar that "The People's Glide" was the result of residue being left on the mat due to the pyro unleashed in the arena. So, when 'Rocky' began to realise his dress shoes weren't exactly built for this scenario, the cool as all hell legend soon used the environment to his advantage and slid his way into an all-timer finisher.
Anyone else would've likely slipped right onto their own rock bottom had they tried to pull this one off. Not Dwayne, though.
