I used to tear my shirt, but now youve torn my heart I knew you were a Hulkamaniac, right from the very start
What more can be said about those lyrics? I'll wait a moment while you grab some Kleenex. No one has ever accused Hulk Hogan of being modest, but his song about a young boy dying of cancer is a bit much. Dont get me wrong, its really sad that a child passed away, but Hogan felt the only way to honor his memory was through music on a CD. While Hogan claims the song is autobiographical, the lyrics say he missed seeing the kid when he was wrestling in Wembley. This is despite the fact that he hadn't wrestled at Wembley stadium at that point. Hogan sums up the theme of the song (which is about how awesome Hulk Hogan is) with this lyric:
The world just lost another Hulkamaniac
Um Hogan, shouldnt the world be more concerned that a young child died, and the fact that they were a fan of yours should be irrelevant? Hogan also tells us multiple times that when he goes to heaven theyll tag up again. That just seems reckless. Who are they going to fight? Bruiser Brody and The Big Bossman? Leave the kid out of wrestling Hulk, and out of your self-serving songs. Well all be better off!
