WWF SummerSlam '99 Superstars Series 9 - Vince McMahon

Vince Likeness: 2/10

Shane Likeness: 6/10

This early Mr. McMahon action figure appears to have been an attempt by toymakers to flatter the CEO. It looks a good few decades younger than Vince, who who was in his early 50s when the figure was released.

The large suit, which could fortunately be detached, had the appearance of a small child playing dress up in their father's suit. While you could read some meta-commentary into this design choice, the most likely motive is to give Vinnie Mac some bulk.

If anybody was deserving of an action figure - and he'd get his own in time - it's Shane McMahon. While he was initially dismissed with snorts and comments on nepotism and privilege, Shane's willingness to perform stunts and put his body on the line quickly won fans over. Whether it was his SummerSlam 2000 Titantron plunge or his belly-to-belly suplex through a pane of toughened glass, there is no doubting Shane's commitment to the family business.

The relative rarity of non-wrestler action figures in toy lines make this a worthy 2-in-1, even if it is more believable as a flashback to a much younger Mr. McMahon.
