10 AEW Stars Who Are Perfect For Ring Of Honor
9. Best Friends
Orange Cassidy is and always has been the star of an act that has never really been wildly over with the AEW fans, Sue’s van aside.
Trent and Chuck Taylor have been part of AEW’s tag division since the company was born, and whilst they have had some highlights such as their brutal parking lot brawl with Pride N’ Powerful, they have never really been a consideration in the best tag division in wrestling.
Whilst no slouches in the ring, they are just not on the level of some of the top tier teams, and it doesn’t help that their gimmick feels like it ran its course over a year ago. With his recently critically acclaimed encounter with Will Ospreay and new/old entrance music, Orange Cassidy certainly feels like he has outgrown the gimmick. The same can be said for Kris Statlander, too.
The Best Friends need a reboot, and getting lost in the shuffle in AEW’s tag ranks isn’t the way to do it. With Trent’s past history with Ring of Honor, transitioning the two across and possibly giving them a much needed heel turn could not only bolster the tag ranks within ROH, but give the two a new lease of life and the chance to rebuild a career that feels like it has been in a long stagnation.
