10 AEW Stars Who Desperately Need More TV Time
3. Miro
There was a time when your writer would have begged for less Miro on our screens. Skits about Kip Sabien’s stag do and wedding consistently overwhelmed and the pair’s battle with Best Friends was interminable.
The blow-off Arcade Anarchy match was something of a redemptive moment for the feud, but things didn’t really turn around until after Miro binned off Kip and reinvented himself. Since then he hasn’t looked back.
Miro was an excellent heel TNT Champion. He dominated opponents and looked like he would snap them in half, yet he had a glaring weak spot like a video game boss. That fragile neck always offered a bit of hope to the babyface and made the outcome of each match slightly uncertain.
“The Redeemer” hasn’t appeared in an AEW ring since Full Gear in mid-November, his appearances limited to occasional pre-recorded promos. Admittedly those pre-records have been uniformly excellent. Miro has complete command of his own violent-but-p*ss-funny persona. The trouble is they only make us want to see him more. Meanwhile he has no matches announced for upcoming episodes of Dynamite or Ramage.
