In her first match in five years, Saraya managed to shake off the ring rust and prove that she is still every bit of the performer she used to be. It will still take the former Paige time to get back to her best form, but she has already shown a week-to-week improvement in her confidence inside the ring and on the microphone.
Her animosities with Britt Baker may have ceased for now, but Saraya is likely to renew them at some point down the line, perhaps over the AEW Women's Championship. Whether she is challenging Baker's friend Jamie Hayter, or the Doctor herself, Saraya will undoubtedly be in the World Title picture in the coming months.
Preferably D.M.D. will be holding the title herself after turning on Hayter and cementing herself as the top heel in the division. Saraya can then take the title of her adversary, providing that Jamie has had the opportunity to try and win it back beforehand.
It will be interesting to see if AEW fans take to Saraya in another feud with Baker, but she will have had ample time to rally them behind her.
