10 AEW Stars Who Will Be Champions In 2023

MJF is likely to hold the AEW World Championship for quite some time in order to ramp up the drama ahead of the bidding war of 2024. There will be a long list of challengers hoping to pry the title away from Maxwell Jacob Friedman ahead of his potential exit in just over a year, but there is only really one man who can.
Wardlow has recently finished his first title run in AEW, and in all honesty, it did not go quite as well as fans would have hoped. After his feud with MJF finished, 'Mr. Mayhem' could not find the momentum or storyline that was befitting of his continued rise up the card.
AEW will have some work to do in order to get Wardlow back to a level to match his star power and potential, but they have time to get there. In the meantime, MJF could have excellent title feuds against the likes of Ricky Starks, Bryan Danielson, 'Hangman' Adam Page, and Eddie Kingston.
By the end of 2023, there should only be one man left to dethrone 'The Devil' and it should be his former henchman, Wardlow.
