10 AEW Title Changes That MUST Happen In 2023

4. TNT Championship - "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry

For all the chaos that swirls around AEW, there’s no denying their ability to build homegrown stars. On the latest Dynamite, the topsy turvy year of Darby Allin found a delightful crescendo as he won his second TNT title in his hometown.

This is great news for a title that was fading a little into the background - Allin is a great worker, committed to a fault, and massively popular. He deserves a good long run to cool off the hot potato that strap has threatened to become.

When he does drop it, though, it should be to another of AEW’s pillars, and right now, there’s none better than Jungle Boy. Jack Perry had arguably the match of the night at Full Gear, and there’s no denying he’s built for great things. He might just be the most natural babyface in the game, and anyone who’s watched him over time knows he’s constantly improving. His mic skills, in particular, have come on leaps and bounds in 2022.

If the babyface vs babyface match doesn’t sound too tantalising, with Darby there’s always the nuclear option: turn on Sting. Were Allin to let the spotlight go to his head, and in the process stab the icon in the back, he’d be the most hated man in the business, with the heroic Perry there to save the day.
