Sonny Kiss is one of few talents on this list who has been with AEW for the whole journey. The booty-poppin' partner of Joey Janela has bags of charisma, a flashy moveset, and the flamboyance to show it all off, but until this year, one box was left unticked.

We didn't know if he could go in the ring.

Sure, we'd seen him wrestle in All Elite, but those bouts were mainly meaningless contests on Dark. The night he answered Cody Rhodes' TNT Championship open challenge was a night he'll never forget. It was the night Kiss finally came out of his shell a little, which is a weird thing to say given how full of himself Sonny actually is.

That match alone proved to everyone watching that Sonny Kiss wasn't just some sideshow attraction. He stood toe to toe with one of AEW's top guys who has pro wrestling flowing through his bloodstream - maybe literally at this point, given some of the cuts he's received. Kiss didn't dethrone 'The American Nightmare', but there was little need for him to do so.

There's just something about Sonny that says his partnership with Janela won't be the sole thing his AEW career is remembered for.
