10 AEW Wrestlers That Are Permanently Lost
4. Penelope Ford
How long can a wrestler stay underrated before they simply end up constantly underused and permanently under the radar?
In the interest of fair appraisal, Penelope Ford hasn't been passed fit for much of 2022, with All Elite Wrestling president Tony Khan tweeting as much in July. Then, he noted that;
“Not at all, total opposite in fact; she’s a great wrestler, and I can’t wait until she’s medically cleared to come back. She’s been in some classic @AEW matches, and hopefully she’ll be in many more!”
No lies detected here, which begs the question why she wasn't featured a lot more when she was good to go. From early on, AEW original Ford appeared to slot in as a gatekeeper and go-between in looping feuds when a challenger was preparing for a big title fight. Where were her title fights?
Routinely in some of the division's better matches despite wafer-thin stories, Ford should feel encouraged by Khan's words, but show-not-tell is needed upon her return.
