10 AEW Wrestlers Who Are In Big Trouble

6. Ortiz

Another wrestler who has felt somewhat lost in the wake of their partner being forced to step away from the AEW spotlight, Ortiz has found himself joining forces with Eddie Kingston as the pair have set about doing their business on the likes of Dark and Dark: Elevation over the last few months.

And while it does feel like only a matter of time before The Mad King is catapulted back up the card for a mouth-watering showdown with MJF, you get the sense that Ortiz will quickly get lost in the shuffle, should Kingston opt to go it alone against the AEW World Champion.

His OG partner Santana isn't expect to make a comeback from his suspected ACL injury for a while yet. And when the performer is fully fit to go, there's no guarantees he'll even want to return to Tony Khan's promotion or team with Ortiz.

Konnan recently noted how the pair haven't been seeing eye-to-eye of late, before also adding that he could "see Santana when his contract is up, leaving."

That doesn't exactly leave Ortiz in the best of positions heading into 2023, with it feeling increasingly likely that the Proud & Powerful mad lad will remain without a partner or much direction for the foreseeable.
