10 AEW Wrestlers Who Are On The Rise
4. Hook
‘Cold-Hearted’ Hook has evolved from an entertaining meme into an absolute killer after his stunning in-ring debut on the 8 December 2021 edition of AEW Rampage, during which he proceeded to lay waste to Fuego Del Sol.
In the five matches he’s had over the course of his budding career, the rookie emanates the same attitude and swagger one would expect from the son of the ECW legend, Taz.
From his entrance music to his poise, to using The Tazmission (now rechristened REDRUM) as his finisher, this second-generation talent has manifested an aura of an assassin during his two months of in-ring competition.
The fact that the 22-year-old grappler is on the smaller side of the spectrum is irrelevant. When a wrestler carries themselves the way Hook does, it’s not a question of whether or not he can defeat a larger opponent... it’s how long until that opponent taps out?
They said, “Send Hook”, well now Hook is here, and AEW is all the better for it.
