6. Powerhouse Hobbs
Powerhouse Hobbs is one of the coolest wrestling names, but he also has the potential to be one of the biggest stars in AEW. Aligning himself with Tazz and the rest of his crew puts him in a position to be a top guy very early in his career & his heel turn was one of beauty.
Him subtly always getting there too late to do any damage could always be chalked up to rookie mistakes. He could have missed his original cue and had to improvise. However, blending that line of work and shoot is always a tricky one, yet AEW pulled it off to perfection. Hobbs turning on the men he kept trying to save was the shock he needed to fully go bad guy.
Giving him a Cage-esque run could be cool. Let him win a battle royal or ladder match to become number one contender lets him get into that main event position without overextending him, thoughho he should defeat would be a difficult answer. Being a heel means he should take down a babyface, but honestly no matter who he takes down it will be a cool rise for the Powerhouse himself.
