MJF surprisingly once auditioned for WWE’s reality series Tough Enough, with WWE even uploading his audition tape to its YouTube page which has garnered over 300k views. It was for the 2016 class which featured stellar talents like Chelsea Green, Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose and Velveteen Dream trying to get noticed by WWE executives.

In the one minute video, MJF exuded the confidence that is quickly promoting him to be a headline star in AEW. He goes so far as calling Triple H ‘Trip’, and states with conviction “The question isn’t, if I’m Tough Enough, no. The question is, are you smart enough to know when the future of your company is looking at you dead in the face?”

He might not have been wrong. Maxwell Jacob Friedman’s only getting better with age and experience, and has recently expressed whilst AEW runs deep in him, he’ll go with the promotion where the most money is being offered.

You can only think with his undeniable charisma, if he was the same height and build as Randy Orton, they would have taken far more notice of his audition tape.
