10 ALMOST Impossible Wrestling Comebacks That Might Actually Happen

4. Ric Flair

Having already sullied his glorious WrestleMania 24 retirement with a collection of woeful encounters with Hulk Hogan on a 2009 'Hulkamania' tour of Australia and regrettable two-year stint in TNA, the preservation of the stipulation in WWE has been almost entirely as a result of the company's will to no longer use him in the role.

Having dipped in and out of makeshift roles since his 2012 return to the fold, he found a second life as a doting father following the phenomenal success of his daughter Charlotte.

Having only briefly associated himself with her in NXT, he became a full-time cornerman for the Divas/Women's Champion in a pairing that got her over the hump of the mismanaged 'Revolution' in late-2015. Instilling confidence and assuredness in her excellent displays, he helped her refined heel persona take hold, and was influential in the historic WrestleMania 32 encounter that saw her trade her Divas title for the reimagined Women's strap.

Though little value remains in a singles scrap outside of the sheer novelty, a one-off appearance in a tag team alongside Charlotte against mixed rivals is surely a dream both Flairs would love to realise, and at this point carries star power WWE would be imprudent not to harness at least once.
