4. Vs. Rey Mysterio (ECW Vs. WWE Special)
In the run-up to the 2006 ECW One Night Stand pay-per-view, WWE presented an ECW Vs. WWE special and decided to kick it off in a way that was sure to get the crowd buzzing by presenting something of a dream match between then-World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio and Rob Van Dam.
Their match was all killer, no filler, as the two eschewed resting in favour of running through a series of exhilarating spots and big moves. Rey hit a springboard crossbody from the ring to the front row, Van Dam responded with a flying kick with Rey crotched on the top strand.
RVD skateboarded a chair into Rey's face, so the masked man responded with a bulldog from the second rope onto a steel chair, which somehow only got two. Rey would've put the extremist away with a springboard bulldog, but he got nothing but steel chair on the landing, which allowed Van Dam to hit the Five Star Frog Splash and pick it an important win, as he was about to do battle with the face of the company in just a few days time...
