10 Amazing Small WWE Royal Rumble Moments You May Have Missed

2022’s batch of Rumbles was one of history’s least inspiring. The men’s edition was by far the worse of the two, so bad that it caused a man to immediately fire his own son from the company.

While the women’s was more enjoyable, it was no great shakes, with the winner totally predictable as soon as “Bad Reputation” rang out around the St Louis arena. What little joy we did get came primarily from WWE finally doing the logical thing and pairing real life pals and MMA veterans Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler for a brief reign of terror.

Rousey on her own is a formidable fighter; with Baszler by her side, the pair could and should be the unstoppable monsters of the women’s roster. The fun was short lived, the horsewomen sharing the ring for only a handful of minutes, but it whet appetites for story possibilities. At long last, this could be the main roster push that Shayna deserves. A tag team, a split, an eventual match - it’s all good stuff.

While the two have palled around since, WWE has as per been hesitant to give Baszler much of anything to do. Back in January 2022, though, we’d take what we could get.
