10 Amazing Wrestling Matches You’ve Never Seen

3. KENTA Vs. Ricky Marvin

Once described by an entire Reddit thread as "the best three-minute match you will ever see", KENTA vs Ricky Marvin is something that has simultaneously gone down in puro legend and, somehow, been missed by pretty much everyone.

Every move in this match is punctuated by the most sickening , stiff , wet noises and both men work so hard and snugly that every single impact resonates in your bones watching at home.

The sell on the Go To Sleep is a thing of beauty. In the space of a few short seconds, it looks at first as though KENTA has actually connected, then as if he hasn't and Marvin's forgot to sell it, then finally as if he's been hit so hard he's forgotten his own name. It's just the perfect combination of speed and brutality and is a low-key cult smash for Japanese wrestling fans, but precious few others.

Plus, if nothing else, it's worth watching purely to demonstrate just how badly KENTA's run in NXT went. Hideo Itami absolutely sucked, but KENTA f***ing ruled.
