Whilst it may be bending the rules of this list by including an NXT match, few can deny that the showdown between Nakamura and Sami Zayn from TakeOver: Dallas doesn't warrant some special treatment.

Put simply, the match is a contemporary classic, made all the more impressive when you consider that it was a large portion of the audience's first glimpse at the enigmatic and exotic King of Strong Style.

After originally challenging Zayn via Facetime, Nakamura was set for his first outing in front of the infamously passionate NXT crowd. Despite some of the fanbase undoubtedly being aware of his work in Japan, the whole crowd watched in awe as Nakamura made his mesmerising entrance. It was something fresh, exciting and almost alien.

After a wink to the hard camera acted as a confident starting gun to Nakamura's relationship with the audience, the two men engaged in a masterfully crafted affair benefiting from the complimenting attributes each man possessed.

Nakamura was hypnotic yet precise. Like a striking cobra, his shots were sudden and effective. Zayn's never say die attitude pushed him to take huge risks to prove that the match was not all about one man.

More than worthy of the "Fight forever" chant it prompted (one of the first in WWE history), the match made both men look incredible - but Nakamura stole the show and instantly became a fan favourite.
