10 Archived Wrestling Websites You Need To Visit
1. Chrisjericho.com (Date Of First Capture: May 9, 1998)
Decades before becoming inaugural AEW World Champion, Chris Jericho was just another WCW midcarder, yet his website was already the stuff of legend.
Boasting graphics and icons out of a GeoCities museum, Jericho's website chronicled his exciting career. In his own words, there was "no boring crap like family pictures and bathing babies." How times have changed for Y2J!
Still active after all these years, Jericho's 1998 web page was chock-full of goodies, even by the day's standards. There was a "picture extravaganza" and championship gallery as well as The List of Jericho's favourite matches and a timeline, or "Time-Lion", of his life as a wrestler.
On the less conventional side, fans could appreciate links to various Jericho-related sound and video clips, plus the Mexican comic book starring him as a zookeeper who dreams of becoming a wrestler. As a special bonus for all his Jerichoholics, there's even a code to unlock secret characters in the original PlayStation's WCW Nitro. Thanks, Y2J, you saved us!
Perfectly highlighting Jericho's humour and personality, his website endeared him to fans long before he became a main event player in WWE. In fact, Lionheart's online headquarters made a sizable portion of WCW's audience wonder why he wasn't a bigger part of Nitro.
Drink it in, maaan!
