10 Attitude Era WWE Superstars You Totally Don't Remember

8. Pantera

WWE

WWE missed a trick by not casually using Pantera song titles during this masked wrestler's matches. JR could've said he was getting, 'F*cking Hostile', or that he had a 'Mouth For War'. Failing that, maybe Pantera's finisher should've been called, 'Cemetery Gates' just for a laugh. Maybe not.

The dude wasn't around often enough for wordplay anyway.

His 19 matches in the WWF came between 1997-1999, and almost all of them were as part of the old Light Heavyweight Title division. Pantera's biggest moment came vs. Taka Michinoku at In Your House: No Way Out Of Texas in February '98. He'd become an afterthought shortly thereafter, and was consigned to the aforementioned Super Astros show. Lucky him, eh?

Pantera's garish outfits and dazzling in-ring style preceded what Rey Mysterio would perfect in the company a few years later. Post-fed, he'd go back to Mexico and is still wrestling there today. Let's just assume another WWE run isn't incoming for the 60-year old.
