Curt Hennig is one of the best professional wrestlers of all-time. Barry Windham is, arguably, one of the most natural performers in the industry's long and illustrious history. For as great as they were, there is little denying the fact that 1999 was not a particularly great year for them between the ropes.

Dubbed The West Texas Rednecks in the heat of a rivalry with rapper Master P, The No Limit Soldiers, Rey Mysterio and Konnan, the duo looked to be having the most fun they had in years. They were hilarious, strumming guitars to their "hit" song "Rap Is Crap" during a live performance. Together, Hennig and Windham, alongside Bobby Duncam Jr. and Kendall Windham, gleefully tore down the rap industry in a series of matches, vignettes and promos that remain one of the bright spots of that year's programming.

Unfortunately, neither Hennig nor Windham were remotely close to the workers they were earlier in their careers. In fact, it was in working with Mysterio and Konnan that their weaknesses and age were exposed. Hennig was out of shape, Windham out of cares and the result was an awesome gimmick wasted on poor workers.

Though, it may never have gotten over to the extent it did without the former Mr. Perfect hamming it up away from the squared circle.
