10 Awesome Ideas That Were Cut From WWE
1. Flair Vs Hogan At WrestleMania
How did this not happen? Like, genuinely.
When Ric Flair jumped ship from WCW to WWE in 1991, everyone and their mums wanted to see him face Hulk Hogan at the upcoming WrestleMania VIII.
The two behemoths represented the two major wrestling philosophies at the time. They were two sides of the same coin, two heads on the Mount Rushmore, but for some ridiculous reason the match never materialised.
Instead, Flair fought Randy Savage in a match that was really good, and Hogan fought Sid in a match that was really terrible.
Wrestling historians, critics, and fans all have their own ideas as to why the dream match never happened.
Some say it was because Vince McMahon was worried the WWE crowd wouldn't take Flair seriously. Some say it was that the participants couldn't agree on what style of match to have. Some say it was so that McMahon could push Sid instead, in which case, he's the biggest moron in the history of morons.
To make matters worse, when Hogan jumped to WCW in 1994, his first match was against Flair!
Seriously, how could the self-proclaimed masters of sports entertainment get this so wrong?
