2. Brock Lesnar Vs. Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman vs. Brock Lesnar would’ve likely taken place at Great Balls Of Fire if not for the former’s recent injury, but could now happen at SummerSlam, assuming reports of Braun’s imminent return aren’t wide of the mark. Recent speculation suggests this may change if Lesnar vs. Samoa Joe generates enough buzz in the July 9th main event, however, which could mean Raw’s current monster vs. monster program lasting all summer.

It’d be a shame to ditch Lesnar vs. Strowman completely, however. Braun has really found his footing since splitting from The Wyatt Family, and has become the most compelling WWE monster character in years. More importantly, his excellent connection with the crowd means there’s little point in holding him back much longer. He’ll be a main event fixture for years to come, and while he’d likely lose to ‘The Beast Incarnate,’ facing him would be a big step forward.

Strowman and Lesnar had some awkward interactions in the 2016 Royal Rumble, but Braun has improved greatly since then. If both men work as stiff as they usually do, this match should comfortable by the year’s most hard-hitting and impactful, and a truly brutal main event slugfest.
