10 Awesome Wrestlers Who Left WWE FAR Too Soon
7. Zelina Vega
There is a genuine sadness to this entry, as Zelina Vega's departure from WWE has some significant ramifications and revelations about the dynamic between the company and its performers.
Thea Trinidad was reportedly fired from WWE due to her vocal protestations against WWE's ban on third-party platform use. Seeing the incredibly talented star dropped from the company after loyally serving them for three years was incredibly unfortunate, and knowing that it centred on WWE's stranglehold over its wrestlers makes it worse.
Excluding her sad dismissal, the loss of Vega was a huge waste of potential in itself. Fans never got to see a lot of her in-ring action within WWE, as she acted as a valet for Andrade for the majority of her time with NXT and the main roster. But even in that position, it was impossible to keep your eyes off of her utterly engaging presence, as she was full of energy and vibrancy.
It's a shame that fans never got the chance to fully see her operate as a wrestler, seeing as her time in TNA was thoroughly impressive and showed what a bright future she had. Hopefully she can get back into wrestling once her non-compete expires.
