10 Awesome Wrestling Things To Be Thankful For Right Now

3. CM Punk Has Been Drama-Free for Months

Around this time last year, CM Punk was in a messy spot following the incident at AEW All In. Fans wondered what was next for his career, if it would even continue at all, as his reputation was less than stellar and it looked like he burned all of his bridges.

Cut to his return at WWE Survivor Series 2023 and since then, it's been much smoother sailing for Punk than most would have predicted.

Even his setbacks from injuries diverted plans for WrestleMania XL in a way that was arguably a blessing in disguise in the long run. Right now, it appears he's gearing up to return to action following a Rivalry of the Year contender with Drew McIntyre to likely start building steam toward his long-awaited feud with Seth Rollins heading into WrestleMania 41.

Contrary to his time in AEW, it seems like there are no backstage issues at all. Instead, he's actively working with people he might otherwise have problems with and seems like a great presence in NXT as well. This is the CM Punk we should have had over the years—and the one that we thought we'd get when he joined AEW.
